After your letter is generated and you've seen the preview, you can either accept it as-is or refine it. Refining happens through a chat; you tell the system what you want changed, and it revises the letter while preserving your writing style.
How to access the refine chat
After the letter preview, you see two options:
- "Looks good, continue": accepts the letter as-is and moves to sending
- "Refine with ADVICI AI": opens the chat interface where you can request changes
Most letters are strong out of the box. But if you want to adjust anything (tone, detail, specific arguments, length), the refine chat lets you do it conversationally.
What you can ask for
You can request any kind of change. Common refinements include:
- Change the tone: "Make it more assertive" or "Tone it down, I want it calmer"
- Add or strengthen arguments: "Can you add a section about the impact on my mortgage application?" or "Strengthen the GDPR point"
- Remove sections: "Remove the paragraph about vulnerability, I don't want to include that"
- Make it shorter or longer: "This is too long, can you cut it down?" or "Can you expand on point 3?"
- Change specific phrasing: "I wouldn't use the word 'demand'; change it to 'request'"
- Ask questions: "What does Article 16 actually mean?" The system explains without changing the letter.
The system only changes what you ask for. Everything else (structure, arguments, style) stays the same.
How the conversation works
The refine chat is a real conversation. You type what you want; the system responds with an explanation of what it changed and the revised letter.
- You can go back and forth: ask for one change, see the result, ask for another. There's no limit on how many refinements you can make.
- Preview your changes: at any point you can preview a side-by-side comparison showing exactly what changed (highlighted in green).
- Switch to manual editing: if you'd rather edit the text directly, tap "Edit manually" to open the letter in a text editor.
Your writing style is preserved throughout all refinements. The system adjusts the content while maintaining your voice: tone, formality, phrasing patterns, and sentence structure all stay consistent with the rest of your correspondence.
Manual editing
If you prefer to edit the letter directly rather than chat:
- Full text editor: you can edit the entire letter body, change wording, add or remove paragraphs
- No restrictions: you have complete control over the final text
- Switch back to chat: if you want the system to make a change instead, you can return to the chat at any time
Manual edits override the system's generated text. If you edit something and it doesn't read right, you can always go back to the chat and ask the system to fix it.
When to refine vs when to accept
The system generates letters from your complete case intelligence: your evidence, the institution's responses, breach records, and writing style. In most cases, the generated letter is ready to send.
Consider refining if:
- The tone doesn't feel right for your situation: you want it softer or harder than the system chose
- You want to include something specific: a detail the system didn't reference, a personal statement you want to add
- You want to remove something: a vulnerability reference you're not comfortable with, or an argument you'd rather not make
- It's too long or too short: the level of detail doesn't match what you want to send
If the letter looks good as-is, accept it and move to sending. Refining is there when you want it, not required.
