Common Questions

Will Providers Accept Me?

Pro Kit can't guarantee any provider will accept you. What the directory can tell you, what it can't, and how to give each application the best chance.

We can't promise that any provider will accept you. Every decision is the provider's, and Pro Kit has no say in it. What Pro Kit does is point you towards the providers most likely to be open to you, so you spend less time being turned down.

What Pro Kit can tell you

  • how open a provider is to people with CIFAS markers, and whether it can see your marker, through its stance label
  • what the provider offers, and how well that fits what you need
  • how many members have reported being accepted or declined by it, on the My feedback page

What it can't tell you

A provider that accepts people with markers can still decline you for other reasons: your credit history, affordability, identity or address checks, where you live, or its own criteria. We don't know any provider's acceptance rate, and we don't assess your circumstances.

Giving yourself the best chance

  • Start with providers labelled Generally accepts.
  • Check the provider's own eligibility rules before you apply.
  • Have your ID and proof of address ready.
  • Answer every question on the application honestly.

Once you know the outcome, choose Did it open for you? on the provider's card. Every report helps the next member decide where to apply.
