Each provider in the directory is shown as a card. From top to bottom, a card shows:
1. Name, logo and type
The provider's name and logo, with a badge saying what kind of firm it is, such as EMI, Credit Union or Insurer. The badge's colour matches its CIFAS stance. See The six categories for what each badge means.
2. Description and features
A short summary of what the provider offers, followed by its key features, each with a green tick. These are written automatically by our system from the provider's regulatory record and its own published information, so they can occasionally be out of date or wrong. Always check the details on the provider's website before you apply.
3. Verified date
Verified and a date is the last time the provider's website was checked and confirmed to be live and operational. A newly listed provider shows Added and a date, or Recently added. See Weekly checks and verified dates.
4. Community feedback
A bar showing what Pro Kit members have reported for this provider: how many reports there are, and how many members were accepted and declined. Green is accepted and red is declined. A provider nobody has reported on yet shows No reports yet. These are the same counts as on the My feedback page, and they're reports from members, not a prediction about you.
5. CIFAS stance
One of three labels: Generally accepts, Likely to accept or Case by case. Tap the small info icon beside it for a short explanation. The label shows how open the provider is to people with CIFAS markers for this product. It isn't a promise that it will accept you. See CIFAS stance labels explained.
Some cards also have a line of green text with a tick, highlighting something particularly useful about that provider.
6. Buttons
- Open and the provider's name opens the provider's own website in a new tab. See Applying to a provider.
- Did it open for you? lets you tell us whether you were accepted. See Leaving feedback on a provider.
Some providers are marked Weekly top pick and shown first in their list, followed by a line reading "End of weekly top picks". The rest follow in stance order and then alphabetically.
