Filtering Your Options

Narrow down the Pro Kit directory with the category tabs and the stance filter, and learn how the list of providers is ordered.

Share

The Financial options page gives you two ways to narrow down the directory: the category tabs and the stance filter. You can use them together.

1. Choose a category

The tabs run across the top of the list. Each shows how many providers it contains.

  • For You: your personalised recommendations. See Getting personalised recommendations.
  • All: every provider in every category. This is where the page opens.
  • Current Accounts, Savings, Phone Contracts, Car Finance, Insurance and Transfers: one category each.

On a phone, swipe the tabs sideways to see them all.

2. Filter by stance

Beside the heading is a row of four small icons. From left to right they show: all providers, Generally accepts only, Likely to accept only, and Case by case only. Tap one to use it, and its name appears in a small label. See CIFAS stance labels explained for what each label means.

The stance filter also works on the For You tab.

How the list is ordered

You can't re-sort the list. It's always shown in this order:

  • any providers marked Weekly top pick
  • then Generally accepts, then Likely to accept, then Case by case
  • alphabetically within each group

On the For You tab, your recommendations are ordered by how well they match your needs instead.

Changing tab resets the stance filter to show all providers. If nothing matches your choice, you'll see "No providers match this filter." Try another stance or tab.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not on the Financial options page. You can search by name on the My feedback page, which covers providers that members have reported on. See The My feedback page.
On a phone the list starts with a few cards and loads more as you scroll down, so the page opens quickly.
Not at the moment. Every provider stays in the directory while it passes the weekly checks, so you can come back to it at any time.
