On your renewal date we charge your primary payment method, then your other saved methods if that doesn't work. If none of them go through, here's what happens.
1. Your account is suspended
Your account is suspended straight away and we email you that the payment failed. When you log in you'll see "Account suspended", and the directory is hidden until the payment is made.
2. We try again automatically
We keep trying your saved payment methods over the following days and weeks, at times based on what your bank told us about the decline. While your account is suspended we send reminder emails. If a retry goes through, your access comes back automatically.
If your bank's response tells us more, you'll get a specific email instead:
- Your card details need updating: for example, the card has expired.
- Your bank blocked the payment: contact your bank to allow it.
- Your payment method can no longer be used: for example, the card has been cancelled. We won't try that card again.
- Your bank has stopped your payments: if you've asked your bank to stop paying us, we cancel your subscription instead of trying again. There's nothing more to pay, and you can resubscribe at any time.
3. Pay now to get back in
You don't have to wait for a retry. To pay straight away:
- log in and choose Send me a payment link on the "Account suspended" screen, or use the button in any of our payment emails
- open the link (it works for 7 days) and pay £3.99 with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay
Your access comes back as soon as the payment goes through, and your new month starts that day. The card you pay with becomes your saved payment method.
There's no reactivation fee after a failed payment. If you ask your bank to stop payments to ADVICIFAS, your subscription is cancelled and your access ends.
