In the Client Portal you pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You pay through a payment request: we ask you for a set amount, and you pay it on your own secure payment page.
How a payment request reaches you
When we ask you for a payment:
- We email you, with the amount, what it's for and the date to pay by. The 'Pay' button in the email opens your payment page
- You get a Payment Requested notification in the portal
- The request shows at the top of your Funding page under 'Payment Requests', with a 'Pay now' button
If you share your account with a joint holder, we email each of you, and either of you can pay.
Paying by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay
- Open the request from the email, or press 'Pay now' on your Funding page
- On the Make a Payment page, check the amount and what it's for
- If your device offers Apple Pay or Google Pay, its button shows at the top. Press it to pay that way
- Or, under 'or pay by card', enter your card details
- Press 'Pay' with the amount shown on it. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment first
- Wait while it says 'Confirming your payment'. When it says 'Payment received', the money has been added to your funds
The amount is set by us when we make the request, and each request can only be paid once. Pay it by the date shown. After that the link expires, nothing is taken, and you'll need to ask us for a new link.
Cryptocurrency
The 'Add Funding' button on your Funding page is greyed out at the moment, so you can't add funding by cryptocurrency from the portal.
Alternative payment methods
If paying by card doesn't work for you, we also accept:
- Western Union
- Cash
For details on how your payments are protected, see Payment security. To see what you've paid, see Funding and allocations.
