Your Funding Management page shows the money paid into your account (funding), what it has been put towards (allocations) and any payments we've asked you to make.

Finding your funding

On mobile and tablets: Tap the menu icon (≡) next to your name at the top left, tap 'Case', then tap 'Funding'.

On desktop: In the sidebar on the left, under 'Case', press 'Funding'. If you can't see it, press 'Case' to open the section. If the sidebar is collapsed, press the folder icon first.

You can also press the Funding card on your dashboard, which shows your available balance.

Your balance

At the top of the page are three totals:

  • Total Funding: the total amount of funding received for your case
  • Used Funding: the amount that has been allocated
  • Available Balance: what's left and not yet allocated

Press the (?) icon next to any total to see what it means. To change how the totals look, press 'Personalise' and choose Default Progress, Bar Charts, Circular Progress or Minimal Numbers.

Viewing fundings and allocations

  1. On the Funding Management page, scroll down to 'Transaction History'
  2. Fundings are labelled 'Credit' and allocations 'Allocation'. Each one also shows its status, such as Pending, Completed, Failed, Cancelled or Refunded
  3. Press any transaction to open its Transaction Details: its type, amount, description and date, and the category for an allocation
  4. Press 'Show more' to see older transactions

Transaction History shows the last 30 days, plus anything still pending. For older transactions, email us at [email protected]. Your totals always cover everything.

Paying a payment request

When we ask you for a payment, we email you and send you a notification. The request also shows at the top of your Funding page under 'Payment Requests', with the amount, what it's for and the date to pay by. For more, see Payment methods.

  1. Press 'Pay now' next to the request, or the 'Pay' button in our email
  2. On the Make a Payment page, check the amount and what it's for
  3. Pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay if your device shows the button, or enter your card details
  4. Press 'Pay' with the amount shown on it
  5. Wait while it says 'Confirming your payment', then press 'View your funding'

The request shows in Transaction History as a pending Credit until it's paid. Once the payment is confirmed it's added to your funds, and we send you a New Funding Added notification and email.

The 'Add Funding' button on the Funding page is greyed out at the moment, so you can't add funding by cryptocurrency from the portal.

Generating an invoice

  1. On the Funding Management page, press 'Invoice'
  2. Choose the from and to dates. Invoices can cover the last 30 days
  3. Press 'Generate' and wait
  4. When it changes to 'Download', press it to download your invoice

Your invoice is also saved in your Case Documents, with a title starting 'Invoice ADV'. See Documents. For an invoice covering older dates, email us.

If you have any questions or concerns, email us at [email protected].
